Thanks, Susan!  I needed this beautiful writing.  We can be thankful for wonderful parents who will be there for us always.  I am grateful that your parents were a vital part of the village (and church) that raised me.

This is very moving, Susan. I can only imagine what this time has been like for you. Prayers for your family's continued healing through your grief and these major transitions. Reading your writing is always a special experience for me.
